I borrowed someone's kettle several months ago and just realized i'd left it with water in it all this time....How can i clean, disinfect, and make sure it's not all slimy inside? The only opening to this kettle is the pouring spout. Any brilliant ideas?

I have some white on white leather Fila shoes, and they're kind of dirty looking. They're not white like they were before, so I want to clean them, but I don't know how. I tried using a wet cloth and then drying them with a dry cloth, but it did more damage than good. Anyone have any white sneakers? How do you get them clean looking?

I work in a restaurant. When I went to heat up a danish in the micro it smelled like smoke.Come to find out whomever worked the night shift had put a couple rolls in there to heat up.However they forgot about it and started a fire. The cook saw it and unplugged it.But now how do I get rid of that awful odor.

We just moved into a new home and the showers have "cultured marble surrounds." The only info I can find online related to cleaning marble shower surrounds is "they are easy to care for" but no one mentions an actual cleaning product to use, and every cleaning product label that i've come across says not recommended for marble. grrrr.... getting frustrated, please help.

Can bacteria build up there, or will the running water get rid of it?

I have a 7-year old teddy bear by RUSS (Geoffrey bear).

See the photo here:

It looks old now, thanks to some careless cleaners.
I'd like to know if it's safe to dry clean it?

i just moved house and i need a cooker, i prefer an electric one because the gas gives off some sort of grease and it builds up on all the surfaces of the kitchen(no im not talking about oil that gets on surfaces because i always clean after each cooking). But my friend says that electric cooker is much more expensive to use seeing that gas is cheaper. Does anyone know what sort of difference will be there on bills approximately, if we are talking £3/£4 pounds a month, then i dont care, however if its like £10 more with electricity, then i guess ill buy a gas cooker?
I appreciate your prompt replies. Thanks in advance

I've got an autographed shirt - it's blue with autographs made in black soft-tip pen. I wanted to hang it on the wall but I've been told it'd lose its color.

How do I keep it without it losing its color and without any sorts of problems?

P.S. I have no idea in what category I'm supposed to post it, so excuse me if it's in the wrong one.

I have never washed it since i bought it and its been almost a year ( i know thats probably really bad but it is clean to me) I dont want to wash it because i really dont know how to get it done and i dont want it to be disconfigured and ruined.

so my question is:

1. should i take it to the dry cleaners and let them take care of it, and how much am i looking to dish out?

or

2. should i wash it myself at a local laundromat in one of those huge machines....but what about drying? would it take like 100 quarters to dry that thing?

thank you

Not genius, I know - but is it a really terrible plan? I have so little space to line dry indoors (no drier).
