Put a bowl with 1/2 C vinegar and 1/2C water in there and heat it until it comes to a rapid boil. Leave it in ther for 15 minutes. Remove it and wipe down the inside of the micro.

cut a lemon in half, and put both halves in the microwave. Run on high for 45 seconds. If you need to, try again with a fresh lemon... It usually takes me 3 or 4 lemons to get rid of burnt popcorn smell.

You can try cleaning the inside of the mic with soapy ammonia (ventilate well!).
However, the smoke smell may have gotten into the insulation. If so, there may be no way to eliminate it entirely other than time and other odors covering it up.

Put a bowl of vinegar in there and run until it boils and then keep the door closed for awhile and wipe clean.

Spray inside with vinegar and then wipe out.The smell will go thru the fan part,so turn it on when there are few customers..Hope this helps.
