I borrowed someone's kettle several months ago and just realized i'd left it with water in it all this time....How can i clean, disinfect, and make sure it's not all slimy inside? The only opening to this kettle is the pouring spout. Any brilliant ideas?

Pour out old water. Put two cups vinegar in and fill it with water. Boil it and pour that out then fill with fresh water and boil it. That should kill any stuff growing in there and get the smell out.

Half fill it with hot water and shake the hell out of it.....do this a few times until you think you have most of the lumps out.

Then fill it with coke and leave it for a couple days. Give it a good rinse and your sorted
