Soap is a surfactant generally made from lye and potash. Modern soaps are better classified as detergents which utilize different products to obtain the same results without the harshness of soap.

Shampoo is a synthetic soap. It works by stripping "sebum" from the hair (which is the oil that hair follicles produce).

THE PRICE`? Soaps= 3 for a £1 // Shampoos 6 for a £1 thats 3 extra` just think all the extra Washing you can do`?

Shampoo is a detergent, chemically an ionic surfactant. It works by increasing surface tension and floating dirt off.

Soap is animal-based, ie tallow, and has no detergent.

soap is generally more drying to your hair than shampoo

soap is to clean your body and shampoo is to clean your hair it is more delicute and gental than soap
