I have some white on white leather Fila shoes, and they're kind of dirty looking. They're not white like they were before, so I want to clean them, but I don't know how. I tried using a wet cloth and then drying them with a dry cloth, but it did more damage than good. Anyone have any white sneakers? How do you get them clean looking?

My husband taught me this little trick...I tried it with MY tennis shoes and it worked out GREAT!!

Take a couple of socks...you're a guy...you probably have at LEAST one pair that's about calf height...put your shoe INSIDE THE SOCK (duh...one sock per shoe). Then wash them in hot water with a mild detergent. The fibers from the INSIDE OF THE SOCK will clean the OUTSIDE of your shoe.

When they're done washing, simply take the socks off of your shoes, stuff them with some old t-shirts or towels and stick 'em outside to dry. They will look GOOD AS NEW!! it works EVERY TIME!!

I wash mine in the washer with detergent and bleach, but only for a few minutes. Not the whole cycle. Take out when the wash cycle stops and rinse in the sink and air dry. Do not put them in the dryer.
