I have a black, 70% silk, 30% cotton, knit sweater that has accumulated deodorant on the inside underarms. So far I have only tried the dry cleaner, and washing it in cold water on the hand-wash cycle with a "delicates" detergent, and a small amount of liquid fabric softener. Please tell me what is best to try next.

Try using the delicates detergent again, but use an old toothbrush (soft) to gently scrub it.

repeat with delicate detergent. apply directly onto stain and hand rub, hand rinse.

Normally, I would have stated full strength liquid laundry detergent & scrub/brush it prior to wash. But silk may lose some of its color doing that.

A hairdryer on the spot. The heat melts the deoderant away.
