Since I have been using a Netto brand of fabric softener, the machine usually fails to take it up.
I have cleaned out the drawer where the powders and conditioner goes.
The instructions simply say put a capful in the machine, but it appears much thicker than others I have used, though some required being diluted before use.

I buy Wilko own-brand which is fairly thick and I find I have to dilute it by another capful, even then the fabric softener bit clogs up every two or three washes.

It's easier to use if you keep the old bottle then dilute half the new one into it.

Check that you are using the correct drawer compartment, and that the programme will use it. Could also be a sticky dipenser mechanism. Can you see water washing in at the correct time in the programme??

don't mean to be rude but are you putting it in the correct compartment. If you are it may be that the softener is too thick - you could consider diluting it but I use 'Comfort' and I find it works a treat.

Try buying a different fabric conditioner.
