I've seen all sorts of brands with 2x and even 3x concentrated laundry detergent like All, Purex, etc. I know it uses less plastic and fluid BUT DO THEY CLEAN AS GOOD? I've heard they do and also that they clean worse.

I think they work great. The only thing I buy anymore is All small and mighty detergent.

Hope that helps!

It works the same. No better, no worse. The ingedients are the same, only they don't put as much water in the mix.

If you go to a restaurant or convenience store that has a soda fountain, they don't put "regular stength" Coke or Pepsi in the machine. They put concentrated syrup and then add soda water. If the machine is set properly, the drink comes out of the soda fountain at the same strength as the Coke in a can or bottle.

Concentrated detergent works along the same principle. Once you add water (which the washing machine does automatically), you end up with the same strength of detergent. All they do is use less water when they package the detergent, leaving them with a thicker "concentrated" detergent.

If the detergent was 3x concentrated, if you took one part detergent and 2 parts water, put it in a cup, and mixed it well, you would get the "regular" version.

I would think so, you just use less of them ! I think it also depends on the type of laundry you do as well. .I have children so I deal with a lot of food spills and the occassional accident so I use ALL, WISK, ERA,GAIN. I don't like PUREX it's too watery but, maybe if it was concentrated it would be all right.. I'd like to use TIDE but, it's way too expensive and I'm allergic to it.. I've just recently started using baking soda in all my wash loads and have noticed a real improvement on stains getting removed and softer fabrics. It's also very cheap ok for children/sensitive skin. Good luck

Even Better! Plus since it's Concentrated, it will last longer as not as much is needed. Yes, they clean the same. I have been using Gain Concentrated Liquid for years, and my clothes are just as clean as they are when I used powder.

They do but to make them work better I always put the detergent in my washer first and let the water fill about halfway up and then agitate it a bit to make sure that the detergent gets diluted enough.

When a product is concentrated, you must mix it with water or other diluent to get the best result.

Imagine you need to clean some fat from clothing. If you don´t have water enought to remove the fat, it will stay on the fabric.

Generally there is a ratio indicated for each product.

Good luck...
