I had the same problem with both the large ones and the travel ones! I found that after even a few hours, they'd be filled with air again and nowhere as compact as they were when I'd just packed them.
Pity, they'd be fantastic if they were perfected...

Couldn't agree more. The large ones NEVER stayed sealed, the medium ones wouldn't pump all the air out.

I now ONLY use two-gallon Ziploc bags for travel. I pack *everything* in them. This larger size fits an entire outfit - pants, blouse/sweater, lingerie. I have found that by folding items carefully and putting a pillow on top - then sitting on it - the bags seal well, the items are crisp and unwrinkled when I open the bag...

AND best of all -- Airport Security. They just flip the bags over like pages in a book. No rummaging thru my stuff!

Yes I've had that happen with just about all my space bags except for the travel one's which I LOVE for trips ! I still use my space bags because they are handy to store out of season clothing in smaller spaces... Or in the basement w/o having a ton of storage bins hanging around... They don't work like they should or on television... Also, I've found if you don't overfill them they DO work better...

Same thing happens to me....the very first set I had worked really well...this was about 15 years ago...since then, I can't get any of them to stay flat....

Had the same problem. Great concept but the zipper's kept opening, they never stay airless and flat.
