It's a wooden cabinet, but I know it's not stained. It probably has some kind of coating, but I'm not sure.

I tried to wipe it up with a paper towel, but it got stuck to it and did nothing. Any tips from knowledgeable people out there?

Okay. So we just moved in with my Grandma two weeks ago. She REALLY let this place go. We have guests tomorrow and we have to get this house clean. I'm on my own until three so it's going to be hard. Right now I have two feet of counter clean, but it has nasty circles from things sitting there for a year. How do I clean that up. Right now I'm using boxes labeled Trash, Laundry, Wrong Room, Toss. Toss is we ain't keeping in house and we will put in a storage building outside. I think I'm doing good considering. I'm on a break. I've been going for an hour. So what are some tips. I'm doing kitchen since Grandma has to get the turkey started when she gets home and then living room, my room (doesn't need but laundry, a little trash pick up and cleaning my mouse colony and vaccuuming.), laundry room, bathroom, bathroom, my brother's room, mom's room and I'm not even going to ATTEMPT Grandma's room. My brother is off to college, but his room is ugh. Mom is not home today. Yay me. NOT!Advice??

Do I have to re-paint, or is there a way of getting the smoke / carbon marks off the paintwork from having a candle lit too close to the wall. I've tried with a damp cloth, but this just seems to have smudged it rather than cleaned off the mark.

I have a thick king mattress and have problems finding sheets that fit correctly. They either are too small and come off in the middle of the night which sucks or they stay on but get loose. I just want sheets that stay on and fit tight. Just bought some new ones that are nice but they are not tight. Any suggestions on keeping the sheets tight?

I bought white 100% polyester SHEER curtains. When I took them out of the packaging, there were fold lines throughout each panel. I thought washing them (on the delicate cycle) would release the wrinkles. I washed and dried them, but they are worse than ever now! The wrinkles have multiplied! I've tried spraying them with water and ironing them out but I can not get the hundreds of wrinkles out! I hung them up in my windows anyway, hoping that that gravity would help. It hasn't. Is there any product on the market that can be sprayed directly on polyester to release the wrinkles? HELP! I have company coming for Thanksgiving! Thanks! :P

I have tried everything to get rid of the smell. It smells like some one has used it, and didnt flush. I have tried the drop in deodorizers, including the bleach ones and it disguises it for a day or two but then it is right back even worse. How do you get rid of the smell? I have a housefull of people coming for Thanksgiving, and dont want them to smell it. Please help.

there was a blanket off his bed (one of those fleece throws) that ended up in that load and now everything is covered in lint balls...especially his church clothes...is there a way to rewash and dry that will get all the lint off or do i just need to lint brush the whole load of laundry.

I dont use dryer sheets because of sensitive skin issues.

I just took all of the wood screws out of my guitar. But since most of them are a little tarnished from age, I was wondering what products would work to remove the corrosion. I have cookware cleaner but I'm not sure if that would rust out the screws or not, because it requires rinsing with water.

So Koolaide is about the worst stain on my countertops I have ever encountered... I mean, even if it drips and I wipe it immediately, there's always a colored drip stain in the minisecond it was there! Worse, if I use water, it spreads it around to a bigger stain. Is there anything that removes it? I have tried Mr. Clean Magic erasers, SOS Clean and Toss Pads, sponges, etc.!

I have clothes laying all over my bedroom. I keep putting off putting them away because I know it will take me a long time and I get bored when I do it. Any ideas of how I can clean them up and not be bored?
I also have things laying all over my room with no place to go.
I need a way to keep everything organized and easy to find. Any ideas of how I can do this without having to buy anything (eg. storage units)?

P.S. I tried listening to music and all the normal stuff for putting away clothes.

I live in a dorm complex where I have my own room but I have to share a bathroom with 1 other person. For the first time in my life, I contracted athlete's foot and then a month later a strange rash on the sole of my right foot ever since using this tub.

I don't have the option of moving out and I'm seriously considering bombing my bathtub with bleach every other day to get rid of whatever nasty germs and diseases my roommate is spreading around the tub.
