I have a thick king mattress and have problems finding sheets that fit correctly. They either are too small and come off in the middle of the night which sucks or they stay on but get loose. I just want sheets that stay on and fit tight. Just bought some new ones that are nice but they are not tight. Any suggestions on keeping the sheets tight?

I have a king bed too, with the same problem, but buying clips and nips to hold them down seems a little anal. Do you really want to bother with clips?

Don't ever get satin sheets then, because those suckers are slippery, just saving you a few dollars.
If your bed is king, then try California king sheets (the set), their alot larger than king. If your the type like me who likes 300 and above thread count, than it can get expensive.
Makes you want to go back to a Queen.

Get rid of the king mattress, if it's such a hassle and get a queen or full one instead (yeah i know you like space when you sleep), because the sheets alone, eventually will end up costing as much as the mattress or more.

Try a king foam padding to put over mattress, then put the fitted sheet. See if that helps before you spend too much money. Try walmart for the foam padding.

You are the ideal candidate for the drawstring sheet. It will stay put and keep anything you add to the mattress in place and you will enjoy a nice tight sheet from then on. By now you have realized that the sheet suspenders don't work and will drive you crazy when you hear the pop sound in the middle of the night when they come off. Just go to the link below.

Forget elastic sheets. Since I have been using drawstring sheets, (Comfy Snug) I have nothing but blissful bed sheet experiences where before it was as though bed sheets were the enemy. Sheets popping off, getting loose, bed sheet bunching up and leaving a red wrinkle pattern across my back! That was before. Now the bed sheet is my friend! All the talk about thread count and colorfast and all that bed sheet nonsense is off my radar and I can think about other things. Drawstring sheet are just the thing for me.

You can get "Sheet Garters" at Walmart, in the bedding department. They are elastic strips with a garter end fastener on each end. They clip to the sheet and slide under the corners of your mattress. Work very well, and only cost a couple of bucks.
