For dark brown leather couches, try choosing a rich green, white,or blue. You could toss some fun, textured pillows on the couch with patterns on them for a simple look. Also a verticle stripe on the walls(paint) goes well as long as it's the right oors together.(A light shade and a somewhat darker shade of a color go hand-in-hand.)

Don't be afraid to experiment with your favorites.!

Green. Green goes with any color wood.. it goes with orange red blue cream it goes with any color. Burnt orange is nice and seasonal for the time being and you can add that to the green for winter months and then replace with another color for summer but I suggest green. If you want to get a good feel before you get anything try going to a fabric store and look for patterned fabric with browns and or take a walk around an ikea. Hope that helps

Brown is considered a neutral so anything goes. Reds, oranges, blues, greens, etc. really give it some pop. Choose an area rug with the colors you choose and accessorize around that. Get some color wheels to show against the brown sofa and you will see what I mean.

Maroon makes a nice contrast color to go with the earth tones, just don't use a lot of it. Ditto with something in the yellow/gold line. Stick with earth tones and then add one of the others for a contrast.
