in my kitchen escpecially around the stove, i have grease splatters on the paint (alot of it from the recent owners) and i cant get it off. Ive used plenty of products and nothings working. Im not repainting for another year or two due to various reasons so i thought to make my kitchen still look nice to see if anyone would know of anything to use on the painted walls in my kitchen to get stains and splatters off!!! All the help will be greatly appreciated!!!

You could always try some de-greaser which you would buy from repco or super cheap; spray it on the wipe it off after a few seconds, I have used this when kids have used crayon on the way and nothing else would get it off; it did take a bit of the paint off but not very notice able I just could tell because I knew where it had been done.

Once that paint has absorbed the grease you are not going to clean it away. Since you have tried many products without removing the paint, it is a good paint. So if you can't change your painting schedule, consider hiding the stains. It really depends on what your kitchen looks like but consider;1. curtains, mount curtains on the wall like there is a window there with closed curtains.2. Poster or other art work that covers the area. 3. a contact sheet, like that used for kitchen cabinets in some artistic pattern. 4. Frame the area just behind the stove in an appropriate paneling.

I've found that using baking soda can get most grease stains off. Just sprinkle some on, and wipe it off with a wet rag. That's what I use in my kitchen, but I generally get grease splatters right after they occur, so it might not work for you. Good luck with it though, if that doesn't work. If all else fails, buy a pint of matching paint, and spot paint the stains off.

It all depends on what type of paint is on the wall. If its flat wall paint you can't apply much to it without ruining the drywall. It also depends on what color it is - if its something other than white most heavy duty cleaners will take the color off the wall. Check with the local paint store and see what they suggest. They might have a special product for this type of thing.
I've used magic erasures and bleach before but it has removed some paint depending on what type was on the wall.
