They start out larval, little black wormy things in the carpet, then turn into little beetles, 2mm long or so. Too small to take a photo of so I drew one. They dont look like the carpet beetles I googled, so I dont know.

They are dark brown, with a tan superhero stripe across their backs. Apparently they have hidden wings too.

What are they and how can I get rid of them? I had the carpet steam cleaned 2 days ago and the guy said they werent carpet beetles but that steam should kill them anyway. Guess not.
They will also live in clothing.

Used bleach and hot water in the wash cycle......couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the washing machine.....instead of turning white....which is usually what bleach does.....they turned ORANGE? Does anyone know why this would happen? Does mold and bleach react that way normally? And how do I get them white again?? Anyone have any suggestions??

We just put in 1200 sq. ft. of new tile floors. I have washed them so many times and they still have sand on them. How long does it take to get it all up? I even got on the floors and washed each tile 3 times before moving on to the next tile. I can't believe they are still sandy! Is there some trick to getting it all off?

The round cushion of the chair is dirty just all over; I've already flipped it to use the other side, and it is definitely time to clean the fabric. I've had it for 3 years and have never cleaned it. Gross. How do I go about cleaning the fabric without spending a lot of money?

There is an obvious discoloration of the tiles once you see the original colour underneath the kitchen mat. Have tried normal mopping with either bleach, vinegar and sugar soap. Its not the grout that is the issue, it is the surface of the tile.

My fiance and I have lived together for 6 months, along with his mother and brother, before moving into our new aprtment last month (she could support neither herself or her son financially by herself so my fiancee took care of them and they are now live in NC with her brother).

His mother, I'm relizing, must have been doing most of the cleaning, because the place is ALWAYS a mess. We don't have kids, so I'm having a hard time trying to understand why our apartment is so messy all the time (dishes, laundry, trash, and random items strewn about).

We both feel like we clean up after the other one all the time. What are we doing wrong? Any ideas would be a great help. Thanks :)

What’s the smelliest thing you can put in the kitchen trash?

Something easy & cheap or just a weird mixture of stuff.

No I’m not crazy I need to get people to take out the trash, if it smells terrible, they’ll take it out.

Any input or ideas would be great.

I have always washed my dishes with a little bit of bleach for sanitation purposes, but a co-worker and I were talking about it the other day and she said it was bad for your health and body.. how true is that? I always make sure to double rinse them if and when I do wash them with bleach.

How do you do it? Do you need to do it in the summer when windows can be open or can you do it in the winter? How long does it take? Will there be fumes in the house?
