There is an obvious discoloration of the tiles once you see the original colour underneath the kitchen mat. Have tried normal mopping with either bleach, vinegar and sugar soap. Its not the grout that is the issue, it is the surface of the tile.

geez... DO NOT use Comet, that will leave scratches. Its very abrasive. there is no easy way. to get it looking great, the old fashion way....down on your hands and knees with a tile cleaner and a scrub brush. Mr. Clean, or **** n Span liquid, or any liquid product made just the cleaning the floor. Just read the directions. The computer deleted the word Sp.....thinking its a nasty word, but I hope you know what I mean. I didn't put in those *****.

well... I had this same problem in my old house, I had a little rug infront of the sink and when I moved it, it was stained yellow. If it is stained yellow from the rug, you can not buy anything to take it off... it is the actual color of the non-skid surface stained into the tile and will NOT come off. You can usually tell if that is the case if it feels kind of rough in texture, different from the rest of the tile where it is stained... if its not that, elbow grease and baking soda would be my best guess. the problem here is that you use use bleach on your tiles , bleach as we all know turns things yellow and gray and will remove even the color from your tiles. Only use boiling hot water when washing your floor , this will kill the germs and leave your tiles clean and with no streaks . using the boiling hot water helps to dry them quicker

if u want to use a cleaner like comet buy bon ami it doesn't scratch the surfaces

what kind of tile is it - ceramic, vinyl, linoleum??
