They start out larval, little black wormy things in the carpet, then turn into little beetles, 2mm long or so. Too small to take a photo of so I drew one. They dont look like the carpet beetles I googled, so I dont know.
They are dark brown, with a tan superhero stripe across their backs. Apparently they have hidden wings too.

What are they and how can I get rid of them? I had the carpet steam cleaned 2 days ago and the guy said they werent carpet beetles but that steam should kill them anyway. Guess not.
They will also live in clothing.

They look a little bit like a roach. Use roach spray on a daily basis. That should get rid of them. Or use a fogger if you have lots and lots.
