I have tried everything to get rid of the smell. It smells like some one has used it, and didnt flush. I have tried the drop in deodorizers, including the bleach ones and it disguises it for a day or two but then it is right back even worse. How do you get rid of the smell? I have a housefull of people coming for Thanksgiving, and dont want them to smell it. Please help.

The seal under the toilet may have broken and has allowed waste to seep out. The only way to fix it is to lift the toilet. You need to disconnect the water line, lift the toilet, clean out the old wax ring, scrub and disinfect under the toilet, put in a new wax ring and replace the toilet. Wax rings cost 3 to 5 dollars at any hardware store.

add some bleach in the tank as well as the bowl and close the lid . And get one of those 2000 flush that you hand on the toilet.
