What is the best way to remove melted plastic on your stove??

My husband accidently put a plastic bowl on a hot burner now it is covered with plastic. What can I do to remove it??

put burner plate in freezer, over night, then it should pop off easly,

Warm it up slightly, just enough to make the plastic soft. Scrape off as much as possible. Remove the burner and scrub with a Brillo pad to remove the rest.:)

of course let it cool down, then w/ a bottle top... scrape gently til it comes off. ( use the bottom of the top, it works well on anything you need to scrape something off w/o scratching)
