Rub a drop of toothpaste into the lipstick stain, then launder as usual. If you are unable to wash in the machine blot with a wet paper towel to remove the toothpaste.

The type of material is quite important and the color of fabric.
The other day I got blood spots on a white dress I was making. I used a white based tub cleaner with bleach. I just put the tiniest bit on each spot. It worked perfectly. But it was white.

There is a product available on line and I think, in stores called goo gone gel spray that should do the trick. Why did you kiss the drapes?

Soak in cold water , add a small amount of washing up liquid. Gently rub in with your fingers and rinse again in cold water

try Goo Gone or Goof Off. always works for me and its handy for all sorts of other stains too.
