Blood Stains are easy to remove from clothes if treated instantly. Here are few tips that work for removing blood stains from the clothes:

1. Cold Water: Soak the cloth overnight in cold water and rub with liquid detergent in the morning. The blood stains will be removed.

2. Hydrogen Peroxide: Dip the cloth in water and add little peroxide to it. After few hours, just rub the cloth and the blood stain will disappear instantly.

3. Salt water: Dip the cloth in water and add a tablespoon of salt to it. After sometime, rub the cloth and the blood stain will be eliminated.

4. Don't let dry: Don't let the fabric dry. Just rinse the fabric in cold water and by rub it, the blood stain will be off. Do not use the dryer before removing the stain out of the fabric.

5. Stain removers: Any stain removers can be used that are available in the stores. They are generally effective and help to take off the blood stains quickly.

6. Shampoo: Using a shampoo is an effective way for taking off the blood stains from clothes. Just rub the stain with shampoo and the stain will be eliminated.

7. Baking Soda: Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda on the blood stain and repeat the process every fifteen minutes hour before washing. It is the safe and easy way to remove the blood stains out of the fabric.

8. Meat tenderizer: Tenderizer is another method of removing the blood stains from the fabric. But be very careful with this process; if the fabric is very delicate, the fabric may be easily ripped.

9. Glass cleaner: Glass cleaner is another effective way to remove the blood stain. As the glass cleaner is a mixture of ammonia and water, it is helpful in removing the blood stains from the clothes.
10. Saliva: Last but not the least, if you are at a social gathering and the blood stain has to be removed immediately, just try rubbing your own saliva on the stained area and it is incredibly effective and harmless

The best way is to treat with an enzymatic cleaner such as Shout or Zout or or use Oxy and cold water. Hot water sets the stain, so use cold.

First off you must not use hot water, that sets the stain. Cold water only.
Carbona Stain Removers has a formula for blood stains that works pretty well. It comes in a small yellow bottle.

I would use cold water & scrub manually with a toothbrush until the stain goes away....do not dry in dryer until the stain is removed or it will set it in....hope that helps!

Try Shout

(reminds me of an old Seinfeld line, "Folks, if you have blood on your clothes, maybe laundry isn't your biggest problem."
