I own a Dyson and although it is great for picking up pet hair, at almost every other level it is an appalling contraption, cannot overide rugs, will not pick up small bits preferring to push them around the room. The hose ,oh! that bloody hose arrangement, must have been designed to drive us bonkers and why do they have to have that horrendous appearance?

I need to purchase a washing powder low in phosphorus so the water can be pumped out onto the garden from the washing machine without damaging the plants and polluting the soil.

I'm not sure what the covering is made of, but it reminds me of microsuede, but we own it, so it proably isn't that fancy.

The tag says stuff about fill and something about polyurathane, i don't know if that's the cover or part of the innards. We didn't get any care instructions with the couch.

What would make a dryer not want to spin all the time?Sometimes it will when I stick my hand in there when I give it a push.Sometimes it just hums and does nothing that's why I keep an eye on it.I don't want the motor to burn out completely. Is this fixable?

I accidentally sucked up a sock when I was using the tube device on my vacuum. Now it is stuck and I can't get it out. I disconnected the tube and still can't budge the sock.

Does anyone know any secrets to dislodging something? Anything I can put in there, etc?

Thanks.

I have been doing my own laundry for a few years now. My mother insists that I must sort my clothes by colors so that they do not "bleed" their colors together. I am thinking if I just use cold water and with the advancements in color safe detergent over the years that the colors will not bleed together. I have been successful so far and I have not had any issues with my clothes being ruined.

If you could please share your experiences with mixing the colors together... did you ever run into any problems?

I prefer NOT to use air fresheners, etc. because I have a 3 year old who has just gotten out of the hospital with pneumonia. It seems I have heard of boiling vinegar but I can't remember for sure. Thanks to anyone that has a suggestion.
