Right now I have them all in the bathroom hanging over the shower bar and I have the dinky hair dryer in the room on HI and it is blowing on them, but they do not seem to be drying. Is there anything else I can do?

I was just wondering if I could wash my dress shirts, dress pants, and dress socks and such in my own washer.
Should I take it to the drycleaners?
or can I soak them water or something?

I have this problem only in my bathroom. My bathroom floor is a no wax vinyl flooring.I have tried white vingar, baking soda, bleach, murphy oil soap. NONE of these had removed the smell permanently and hasn't give vaguely removed the stains.

It backed up into the basement and landlords won't come to see the problem. I am a single parent of two children. Need to know how to get it cleaned up and also how to get rid of the smell.

I don't think dust can actually accumulate to an inch thick. I think that the dust would slowly settle on itself compressing into a layer of filth. Can dust actually colect to an inch thick?

I recently got a dresser with mirror. It came with tape on the mirror, shaped like an X. I removed the tape, but still have some glue left behind. I tried plain windex and it did not work. Any suggestions that will not ruin glass??

We have a GE top load washer and dryer - both are dying. The timer is going out for the second time on the washer and the dryer door won't stay shut. I think I want front loaders this time. I like the efficiency and the fact that they stack. However, I've been researching them online. Now I'm confused by all the information I've read. They all seem to be pieces of junk that break within a year! Does anyone have front loaders? What kind do you have and do you have issues with them? Who thought buying a washer and dryer could make you nuts?

I'm thinking of purchasing a Conair or Singer brand flat press iron. It's a clam shell design & the steam option can be turned off. They are much cheaper. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried this intead of the heat transfer machine?

I'm hoping to Vax my carpets tomorrow. Could anyone tell whether the Vax will suck all the fluid out of my carpet or whether I need to leave the carpet to dry. If so, how long should it take? The Vax we are using was only purchased last year.
