I own so much STUFF! My closet is packed full of clothes and odd-and-ends...I have shelves full of nick-nacks...What should I do? Where do I start? HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS STUFF?! I always have the "Oh I'm going to use this...eventually..." excuse when trying to throw out things...I still have Pokemon cards from when I was eleven...And barbies. It's really sad. Haha. Help me?

Recently when I was taking out our Christmas tree, which was a Norwegian Spruce, I accidently rubbed the stump on the carpet and got a small spot , (about the size of a softball) of stick pitch on the carpet. What is the best way to remove the stickiness from the carpet?

My sister-in-law is so nasty that she once told me that she keeps a pair of tongs by the sink because she leaves her water in the sink, and one time reached in and grabbed a dead mouse. She buys new clothes and dishes when she runs out of clean ones and doesn't want to wash them. I have found unidentifiable food products under her couch. Anybody else know someone like this? Are there really other people in the world this nasty?

My father spilled a half gallon of milk on the floor of the passenger side of my mothers car this Christmas. Needless to say, I was the one who got the clean up details. I soaked up as much as I could, but warned my mother it was going to stink in a few days, with a vengance. That day has arrived...how does one get that stinky foul smell out of the carpet?

I know they like warm places (like electrical/phone wall plugs. So I've been leaving my microwave unplugged until I need to use it. I thought it was working as I didn't see them dying under the microwave. But this morning as I finished warming my coffee when I opened the door, there were half a dozen babies and I saw a larger one in the door latch!!!
My question (finally) if I leave the micro unplugged, can I use a spray or some kind of insecticide inside the crevaces of the microwave?

Hello all,

I come from an East Indian family that lives abroad. My mother often cooks Indian food which involves cooking of a lot of onions and other spices and herbs initially. As a result, there always is an awful smell that diffuses throughout the whole house. This smell is not just of onions but also of the spices used. In our language, it is called the smell of "tarka" (though, I may have spelled it wrong). Unfortunately, this smell has become a part of our house and can easily be recognized when entering our home. Does anyone know or have any ideas of removing this smell.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

S.M.
