is there a re set button or is it time to get a new one

It sounds like the load was unbalanced( the clothes went to one side) causing it to do a shimmy. To stop the washer, if you have a knob that you pull to turn it on just push it in wait for the machine to fully stop then reach in and redistribute the clothes. If you dont have a knob that you pull there may be an emergency off switch some manufacturers put it on the front and some on the back. The washing machine however should be fine even if you can't get it off.

You just have it to full, or you need to move thing around. It can get knocked of balance and needs to be spread out even. If that is not the answer then u need to buy a new one.

You have it over loaded, just rearrange the laundry or pull some of it out.

its just out of balance, re adjust your clothes and try again
