Do NOT use the iron! Silly Putty doesn't melt, but the iron will melt your carpet.

If you have a janitorial supply store nearby that's open to the public, ask them for chewing gum remover (it's an aerosol that freezes the gum or putty). Just follow the directions on the can.

if this stuff is left out in the air long enough it will harden like plastic. if it were my carpet i would try the pipe on my vacuum cleaner, get down there and use the pipe edge to scrape it off , the suction will take away the bits that come loose. .. i don't have a clue if ice will work or not but you can call the silly putty people maybe they have come across this before...

Oops is some good stuff-it gets gum out of the carpet, stickers and crayon off walls.

Put tons of Silly Puddy all over your floor and spread it around. That way it looks normal! lol! I'm sorry, immature moment. Gee, I don't know. Toughy. Actually, what they said. Put ice on it and then scrape it up.

My daughter went to bed with some once and got it stuck in her hair and all over her pillow case. Ice did not work. I made a paste of vinegar and baking soda and left it on for about 15 minutes then scraped it out.

Try freezing it with an ice cube, kinda like when you get gum stuck in your hair, and then break it apart and pull it out. Should work. Hope I could help.
