Nothing has ever worked for me, and this has its "I don't wanna" days, but it's the easiest one to get back on the wagon without killing yourself physically or with guilt. "A baby step at a time..."
Very nurturing.

Not sure how much help I will be because I live alone and have regular house guests.
first off I "straighten" daily. Before I leave the house I do a quick walk through and make sure everything is put away - such as dishes in the sink, shoes in the bedroom, towels hung up. I clean up the kitchen every time I cook - wipe down counters, stove, sweep floor, etc and do dishes daily (in dishwasher). I have my laundry room set up that so that I can sort clothes as I bring them in there and do a load as needed. Then once a week (generally Thursday while I have the TV blaring) the bathrooms are cleaned, bed linens and towels are changed and the whole house is dusted and vacuumed. I then order pizza and crack a beer while I wait for it to be delivered. Hope that helps.

Or you can do what I have done for years, have several garbage cans tucked everywhere. I have one by my chair, one in the restroom, one by the sofa, one by the door fro junk mail. I also put cleaning to dos on my calendar. Keep your grocery lists and card giving lists with your calendar so you always have it with you when you go to the store. Take one room a day. The living room deep clean is Monday, Kitchen deep clean is Saturday, bathroom deep clean is Wednesday, bedroom deep clean is Tuesday, ect.... I also clean out my closet every 6 months(this includes linen, bedroom, gift closet, bathroom under the sink) . This also goes for crafts stuffs that you buy on sale and really mean to use but don't-consider giving the ones you will not use to your church for use in the Sunday school crafts, or maybe you know someone who is a fellow crafter & suggest an exchange. The clothes can be given to a charity like a women's shelter, this is great if you have kids clothes to give away as most of the time the women only have time to grab the kids and run for it.
Hope this helps.

I am a stay at home mom in a family of five. It seems that if I am not organized I clean all day long. So, I made myself a schedule. In the mornings while my older one is at school, I clean for about an hour. I do whatever laundry needs to be done after they are in bed. If I do that each day ,except Sunday. My house stays clean and I don't have a lot to do each day. I do not have a set list of what to clean, I just clean what I feel needs my attention that day. The next day I do something else. It works for me!

Set your alarm for at least 1 hour earlier every morning and do at least 1 load of laundry...I work graveyards so I throw one in when I get home. Unload your dishwasher and toss in dirty dishes as you use them. Take a paper or plastic grocery bag room to room and pick up garbage. Keep Clorox wipes in the bathrooms for quick clean-ups. Target has a Eureka Quick-Up. It is a rechargable cordless vacuum for hard floors. It is great for getting crumbs off the floor and good for quick clean ups on carpets. Get Pledge wipes for dusting or swiffer dusters...they have extention handles for high shelves, ceiling fans, etc. I have a house cleaning job also and I can clean a 5,000 square foot house...including laundry, in 4 hours

CLOSE THE DOOR. No really, read that doing house cleaning in 15 min. interval works well. Must be done daily. I actually did try that until I had a work schedule change and never went back to that routine. I will place it on my new years resolution.

What I do is reward myself. Pick something you really like to do (myself-watch a movie) and don't allow yourself to do it until you have done the dishes and picked up the clothes. Wash clothes during the movie- fold them, too, during the movie.
Another big thing is having the right equipment and chemicals to do the job. nothing is worse than cleaning the entire bathroom with only "Mr.Clean." you need to make use of windex, and comet and soft scrub. The right tools make it more "fun" too. And don't forget to reward yourself!!

Yeah...I wish i might want to allow you to already know yet i do not understand any particular "techniques". i imagine this is all about your skill element and quantity of motivation you should do it. i'm a unmarried mom of two with a canines and a couple of ferrets to freshen up after and after operating all day I easily haven't any skill. I do the most cleansing on Saturday. It receives depressing even as it style of feels all you ever do is ascertain and sparkling. i can get myself brought on if i purchase like a sparkling vase for the residing room...then i am going to favor to make it look all great. I used to imagine if I merely had inspite of latest cleansing furnish they were promoting on categorised classified ads...then i might want to be brought on to sparkling. yet...i might want to get all that stuff and nevertheless not favor to sparkling. I discovered this is skill that i desire. i favor to get a bottle of that.

Two polish women come to my 2-bedroom garden apartment once every two weeks to clean it. I pay $60.00 each time. It is sooooo worth it!
