Wet a towel or small rag. Place over wax on sweater and use a hot iron. Set hot Iron on wet rag. The heat will pull the wax out of the sweater. This works great on carpets too.

use an iron and old cloth. put the iron on warm but not hot just enough to melt the wax and then put the cloth on the stain and then the iron on the cloth make sure youh ave another cloth on the inside if needed because the wax may bleed to the other side. move the towel see how much more needs done and then return a clean part of the towel to the stain do this untill the wax is gone

Try putting an ice cube on the wax and then peeling off the wax. The color left by the wax will probably be harder to remove. Pretreat the sweater, then, rinse with cold water. If all else fails take it to the cleaners.

Either take it to a dry cleaners or you can purchase the same solvents of the shelf.
If you do the latter make sure that you are in a well ventilated place as the fumes are pretty nasty-better the dry cleaners.

A dry cleaner can take care of it. Wax dissolves in the usual cleaning solvents.
