yeah it does, i live in a place with very hard water and thanks to calgon i haven't had a problem (i have had my machine for a year now) and when i used a washing machine without it (before i knew about it) my machine broke down when it was only 3 months old

yes,they do , my machine is about 20 year´s old and I put one tablet in every 3 week´s or so with the wash, and have no trouble at all. so it work´s

I want to be immortal so I tried some Calgon but it made me sick for a long time. I haven't got a washing machine so I can't really help you. Sorry!

My old one lasted 12 years in a hard water area without calgon. I only replaced it because I wanted a washer/dryer.
