The only thing I would suggest it to sand it and re-stain it or polish it! Nail Polish has Acetone (spelling) in it which eats away at many things! Hope this helps

You can get a quick fix at Home Depot or even Walmart.Just tell the person there what you have done and they will tell you what to use.Meanwhile set your favorite vase on the spot.Try not to worry.Just don't ever smoke and use remover or you might have to call the fire department. That stuff will ruin almost anything. And it is soooooo flamable!!!Good Luck Happy Holidays!!!!!

Does it have a polyuerathe finish ? That you can fix by sanding around it and adding a coat of polyurethane. Let it try, sand with steel wool add a second coat. Let it dry sand with steel woold, add a third coat. Should look good as new.

You can buy stain pens (look like magic markers) in a variety of colors at home improvement stores. This might work if the area is not too large.

You could try to sand it and match the finish, but that may not be possible, you may have to sand and refinish the whole table!
