There is a method that is much more effective than using ice cubes....

The idea is that if you freeze the gum, you can take it up in chunks... it will be frozen hard, and therefor, not 'gummy'.... In the first aid section of most department stores, or pharmacies, you can find a 'cold spray' to treat minor cuts, burns, etc... and another that will freeze warts... Either of these products will freeze the gum much faster, than using ice cubes. I like to keep a can on hand anyway, for first aid, but it is very handy to remove gum too.

If the gum were on a solid surface, like tile, then i'd suggest WD-40... but don't use it on carpet ;)

Good Luck

Freeze it of , put a few ice cubes in a bag and rub over , then scrape off with a blunt knife.100 % it won´t all come out. so whip 1 egg white lay on top of the remaining stain leave for 10 min´s, then sponge with warm water. Wash the carpet with a little of your own hair hair shampoo, rinse well. Lay a towel with a heavy object on top . This will help soak up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet
