I know people have probaly used dishwashing liquid in the washer, but has anybody used detergent on their dishes (not in a washing machine, but by hand) ?

Yes, I have used it many times when in a pinch and out of dishwashing liquid! It works perfectly, just rinse well as you would with any soap!! By-the-way, shampoo also works well!

Yes, and it works very well. Don't use too much as it makes a lot of suds. It gets coffee and tea stains out easily. Rinse the dishes after washing just as you would after using dishwashing liquid. Never use either of these in the dishwasher - way too much suds!

of course. What do you think we used after detergents were invented (WW II) and we quit using Ivory or lye soap to wash the dishes? We used powdered Tide or Fab, until liquid Joy hit the market. Of course Joy might not have been the first, but it was the first I ever saw.

I have when I ran out of dish soap. Just don*t use a lot or it won*t rinse out. because it*s stronger than dish soap.

Yep...it is an excellent way to get coffee and tea stains out of your cups. Just rinse well.
