Put some washing powder into the dish and add boiling water. Leave for a while and it should work off the burn marks - if not, scrub once the water is cool enough.

If you are washing your pyrex by hand get some dishwasher detergent that's for the automatic dishwasher.. Put a thin coat of it on the pyrex and let it sit for a few minutes.. .Rinse with really hot water.. Should be fine.. Dishwasher detergent also works for cleaning the bathtub.. Good luck

If we're talking about the REALLY burned on stuff, ie carbonized, I use oven cleaner. The problem w/ brillo pads and other really abrasive things on Pyrex is that they scratch it all to heck and it ends up losing its shine and looking really old and skanky. Try those foam sponges covered w/ fabric mesh or a plastic scrubbie before you go the Brillo route. Steel wool filaments are also really bad for you if they get into your intestines, and I hate the way they rust. I'd use pretty much anything before Brillo, even tho' yes, I acknowledge it works.

My late wife came up with this great one: use spray-on oven cleaner and let it sit, then wash it off. Be careful as it's rather caustic.

I sometimes take a sharp knife or razor blade to specific spots and scrape gently. That's an exercise in Zen. It does work.

My Mom, who doesn't have a dishwasher, was amazed after I took her lasagna pan out of the dishwasher last Thanksgiving. A good hot soak and a hot dishwasher should do it. Anything that's left after that will come off with a fingernail.
