A while back, I had some hockey jerseys customized at a local hockey shop. They did great work on the customization and it looks great all except for the fact that they also added a large screen print of the shop logo on the bottom hem of the jerseys. I was soooo pissed, but for some reason I didn't do anything about it at the time. I figured as time passed, it wouldn't bother me, but now it bugs me more than ever. I'd like to remove the screen printing, but I don't want to risk ruining the jersey. Is there anything that I can do to remedy this situation? Thanks in advance for any help!! :o)

I don't think there is. But, I have a couple shirts that have screen printing on them and when I wash them I wash them inside out so that the screen printing doesn't come off. I would try washing them a couple times the right side out in warm water.

Good Luck.

Well....after some consideration on this question... it is not fair that you paid your money to have something screen printed and they added their logo for you to " moreless advertize for them Free." So, one of three things... 1. take it back to them and tell them you are not going to advertize their business and they need to cover it up...(with your approval and you standing there while it is done) 2. take it to a seamstress and have it shorten just barley missing the logo putting that into the hem, this way keeping the jesery as long as posssible. 3. Do write a letter to the Better Business Bureau at let them know what has happened to your jerserys. They (BBB) will also get in touch with the company that printed the jerserys and maybe between the three of you all something might could be done , but first give the store a chance to correct it before you have to file a complant. Let the store know you might have to take further action if they won't help fix the situation. They (the store) should have informed you that they would be putting a logo on the finished design product. Do you have any paper work that you can use to back up what they were to screen print? That would diffently help you out.
Good Luck.

Consider trying to mask the logo by coloring the surrounding fabric with a permanent marker the same color as the logo. That would leave a colored rectangle, but probably not as offensive as the logo. Another idea is to sew a patch over the logo. You could use a fabric that does not ravel, such as ultrasuede and avoid needing to fold under the edges. You can get ultrasuede in a wide variety of colors.

You could shorten the hems which would remove or at least cover the shop logo. A seamstress could do it. Hope this helps.

have a 2-3 inch stripe made of fabric sewn on, in any color you want, accents the jerseys and covers the logo
