What would be the best way to store the clothes so they don't get smelly and moldy. Plastic containers w/ covers or something else.

Get those vacuum sealed bags that would be the only way to keep them fresh for that long!

Without question it's the Space Bags that are popular. Suggestion if using them, though, the articles of clothing must be absolutely dry otherwise any moisture sealed inside the bag will stay inside the bag which can cause mold and color bleeding as well as permanent odors that won't wash out.

How many baby clothes are you talking about? An entire infant through toddler wardrobe or just a few treasured pieces? I would sooner use a kitchen vacuum sealing machine such as a Food-saver and vacuum and seal items individually. Then donate the rest of the items to women & children shelters. I come from a large family and never thought to save anything other than special baptismal outfits.

I have a ton of space bags and you can get them most anywhere.. .I got mine at BED BATH AND BEYOND and I used coupons and they match price as well.. I would also put the space bags once sealed in a plastic container that would protect them from mice as well. Good luck

you have no doubt seen the product called

"Space bags"

these things are incredible

not only do you pull all the air out so they save space but with no air they can not mold mildew rot or discolor

even wal-mart sells them now

about thirty dollars gets you three or four big bags you can sore a ton in them and when filled and the air sucked out you can put them anywhere

space bags with bounce sheets. Maybe you should store a few treasured items and get rid of the rest of them and start over again in 15 years. i would also suggest that you inspect the bags periodically.

You could try those plastic bags that you suck the air out of. They would take less space and probably protect things better.

Yes i think that would be the best way to protect them from mold and other bad stuff and make sure to keep them from damp or wet places.
