Just start with one room at a time, or one project at a time. I started with my windows because that is my least favorite job. So I got it over with, but once I started and I saw how much nicer they looked when they are clean, I didn't want to stop!!

Start with one room at a time. Then, break it down into sections of the room, if needed. Be ruthless and throw out things you haven't used in six months or more. Open all the windows if it's a nice day and turn on your favorite music. You'll be surprised how much you can get done in even a half hour. It's amazing! Good luck. I need to do this as well.

It's a few hours later and I thought of this: I love to burn candles and I won't light any until my work is done. Reward yourself!!!

If you house is generally clean..ie nothing lying around cluttering up the house...

I would put on my favorite up beat music (i have compiled a disc of my favorite housecleaning songs) and start from there...Pick the room that is going to take the longest to clean start with that and then get into the smaller stuff...Alternativley you can do 15 mins in each room...and continue until done.

Good luck with it

I pick a day when I am going to begin the job. Before that day comes, I go through the house and straighten it up, so that on cleaning day, all I have to do is clean and not put stuff away. If there are curtains or rugs that need to be washed, I do that before the "cleaning day." The night before cleaning day I will gather all the cleaning supplies so that on cleaning day, I am ready to go.

business enterprise!!! After an excellent number of cases once I've freaked out that the homestead replaced right into a large number and human beings have been coming over, i've got discovered that inviting buddies over is the proper motivation for me to scrub the homestead! I continually do a great cleansing activity while i know an interloper will see my "paintings"!

I make a list and break it down into small jobs. I get satisfaction by crossing off what i have completed. I also, time myself on the dirty jobs that i dread. I do 15 minutes and then go to something lighter for 30 minutes and then back to the dirty job for 15 minutes, so on..... I know that it is just mind games, but it works for me.

I have to be in just the right mood to clean house--the mood usually strikes me when my mother or my in-laws announce they're coming over!
