I am on crutches and accidentally hit one against the front of one of our kitchen drawers. It scratched the wood. Anyway to fix this without having to replace it? (One of the screws on the crutch made the scratch). It looks like a cat got to it! Help is appreciated! Thanks

earlier today, a ceramic spoon accidentally got in my garbage disposer. Now, when i turn the garbage disposer on, it doesn't work and water slowly goes down. I stuck my hand down there but i couldn't feel anything that would clog it. WHat do I do?!?

What can i do to improve the smell that comes from the pipes on my kitchen sink?
After doing the dishes, about half an hour, it comes a very stong odour from the pipes, like something rotten, probably rest of food.
Apreciate your help.
Thanks

I caught a mouse on a glue trap in my apartment. I couldn't think of a more humane way of euthanizing it, other than putting it and trap into a plastic bag, tying it off, and putting it my freezer. Can any diseases float around in my freezer and land on my ice?

I have been with the company for almost a year now and like it very much, but there is one major issue IE pest controll. We have roaches that have taken nest inside one of our walls that was poorly constructed (it has cracks all along the bottom) and no matter how much we report it; nothing gets done as far as an exterminator goes. The solution that they want is this: roach hotels (this is food service mind you) near our slicing eqiuipment, and a foam sealent to go along the wall.... is this in some sort of health code violation?! Please let me know what you guys think.

We have one bathroom and need to redo the floor tile in there this weekend but I am told that you have to wait 24 hours after setting the tile in place before you are supposed to walk on it. We are looking at going to a hotel for the night if we can't find something that will set solidly in just a few hours.

My daughter was melting candle wax from jars that were too small to use, and using the wax to make more candles. When she took one of the jars out of the hot water she dropped it and splashed hot candle wax on her shirt. She didn't get to it right away, now it is dried on. How can I get it out?

I am in a late-model mobile home with NO indoor pets, on 40 acres. We have somehow gotten fleas. perhaps carried in from outdoors, whatever. I have an 8 year-old son, 5-year-old daughter, and new 5 month-old daughter. I am VERY reluctant to use poison. Any homeopathic/natural remedy for ridding our house of these pesky ankle-biters?

We got a quote to decorate our spare room, which we accepted. The guy said the job would be done in four days. A month later, following excuse afer excuse, the job remains unfinished and the work done so far is poor. I fired the guy and now he's demanding full payment. Where do we go from here?

We have recently been looking into buying a home and came across an older home that we liked a lot. We know that there was a new septic system installed about 6 months ago and the ground above the new system is still soft (not muddy). Since the system is new, it seems unlikely to be a failure. Any ideas on why the ground would still be so soft? It has been an average winter here in terms of moisture. My main concern is the foundation (crawl space). Thanks in advance.

I clean my shower EVERYTIME I shower, but my best friend DOESNT!! I tell her that its really gross to let build-up occur on your shower walls, but she says that its fine. We both decided that we should come on yahoo answers and ask people on here to see which one of us would have the most votes. I bet her that fungus and other nasty things can occur from build-up of your shower walls, and she bet me that it cant. We would like to know the opinions of the yahoo answerers. Thanks!

Oh! And should you clean your shower each and EVERY time you take one, or is it okay to skip a few days in cleaning it?

I have a large bandanna that I use for ink painting (to dry the brushes after rinsing them). I would like to toss it in the laundry so I can reuse it.

NOTE: The ink I use is NOT like pen ink; it's much more watery, and I'm pretty sure it will come out. (I accidentally got some ink on one of my teacher's placemats last fall. All she had to do was put it in the washing machine, and it came out like new.)

However, I'm concerned that the ink might wash into other clothes and stain them while in the machine.
If it helps to know: the ink is made of charcoal ash (from wood) and water.

Thanks in advance.
