Okay, so my little sister was laid to rest several months ago (June '06) and every holiday my mom decorates her headstone. Well, for Valentine's Day, my mom put these gel hearts on it. Now, here comes St. Patrick's Day and my mom removes the gel hearts. Where each heart was, there was a oily silhouette of it. My mom can't seem to get rid of it. Any tips of how to remove substances/oil from granite?

Thanks, it's much appreciated. This is a Q from my mom, by the way. Lol. But she didn't have time to post a Q. So what the heck, I lent her 5 points.

Is it available at hardware stores, or stores like Home Depot or Menards? And if so, what section would I find it in (paint, etc)?

Someone told me to nail copper nails in it and the chemical reaction would kill the root (I don't think so). Any ideas?

I have an aloe plant that's been in the family for about 10 years now, and he's still just a puny little thing. he's an indoor plant. lately he seems to be a little droopy and squishy. I have been taking care of him like I do the rest of my plants (which are healthy), but now I'm wondering if aloe plants need something special? any tips or advice would help. I don't want him to die on me.

I am renting an apartment and the apartment is over a four car garage. All windows are east and west. Last summer, it was 90 degrees in here with the central air set to 70. Yesterday, the temperature was 74 degrees outside and 79 degrees inside. I can't repeat last summer... Any tips for keeping the air in? I hung a thick cloth curtain with fleece backing over the stairwell on a tension rod, I put in a clean air filter, and I used air deflectors to shoot the air out instead of up on the floor vents. Any tips? We have 4 sets of windows with blinds closed all the time during the summer. If you recommend additional insulation, where's the best place to put it? Above? Below? Around? Is it expensive? I absolutely love my landlords and don't want anything too costly for their sake. Thanks!

After 12 years our old machine is almost on its last leg. We are thinking about getting a new one but can't decide which one. We were lending towards a Kenmore but which model. We know that we want a top loader not a front loader. Any one with a good one let me know. Or which one not to buy. Thanks

It's about 4' x 20'. It's at the back of my apartment coming off of the kitchen. The thing is, it's the only room with a good view (the other rooms all look out on a brick wall). It's currently being used as a storage space, but I'm cleaning it out and I'd like to do something with it, but I just don't know what.

My dad is adding on a room to our house to be my new bedroom and I am planning on painting it white and a really deep purple. My concern is finding a color carpet that will match. It's going to be hard to find a dark purple to match and I definitely don't want white... Any suggestions?

Ok, im a total clean freak! I like my house clean all the time. My boyfriend on the outhand never cleans and it doesnt bother him if the house is just totally trashed.
I try getting him to help me. I ask him to do stuff, and he'll do the one task (poorly) and then stop. I'll be scrubbing the house, and he'll just sit and watch me and play his video game... What should I do to get him off his lazy butt? Its beginning to drive me insane. I do all his laundry. If I dont, then he will wear dirty clothes (GROSS!) every dish could be dirty and he still wouldnt do dishes. Its really becoming a pain for me!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
