I washed my bed comforter at the laundromat. After removing it from a "front load" machine, I noticed a VERY bad odor coming from half of my comforter. I then put it in the dryer, thinking that the ODOR was only foul water and that the smell would come out.

I then put the comforter in the dryer, with a couple of dryer sheets...... but that didn't help either, after removing it from the dryer.

What do you think I should do to get that ODOR out?

The materials have already been purchased, and I was wondering, how much I can expect to pay to have the work done? Is the labor billed by the hour, or per square and per window? It is ten windows, one of which is 9X5, the rest are considerably smaller, and 13 sq. of siding. Also 150 ft. of soffit and facia. The home is a single story ranch all straight cuts (except the gables of course) and no inside corners. there is nothing difficult about this one - should be easy.

I am in the process of installing a new counter top, sink and faucet. I would like to know if there is a downside to leaving the airgap under the sink. I understand how the airgap works and why it is there. I would like to keep it, but I would prefer to not see it. I would like the extra hole in my new sink to have a soap dispencer instead. I don't remember ever seeing water coming out of it. Thanks.

Only my right eye is runny and the right side of my nose. This has been happening for like 2/3 days now. I think it may be some type of allergie, but I want this to go away by Friday. What should I use. I only have Tylenol cold at home which will help with the symtoms (even though I don't have a cold). I'd rather not use that though, any other suggestions?

I am thinking about buying one of these because I use ladders a lot on the job. Are they legit or are they something that professionals laugh at? Are they safe? What is the down side to them?

I tried to hire a carpet cleaning company, but they told me they can't get rid of juice stains. Then I was told by someone that they can get rid of juice stains. But I don't know who to believe? I don't want to waste money on a service if they can't get rid of them. I was thinking about just buying a small piece of carpet similiar to the color and texture of my carpet and cutting out the juice stains and replacing them with the small piece of carpet. Let me know what idea is the best or if you have any suggestions please feel free to share. Any information will be very well apprieciated. Thank you.

I don't know what's wrong with my mower. I've had it for about 3 years now. I have a throttle free mower and when I start it up it sounds like it's trying to catch. It sounds like Vroom......vroom.....vroom like I'm in my car parked, but pumping the acelerator slowly. I've changed the spark plug and today I bought a new oil foam to replace the old one. When I'm mowing and I look down I do see his switch that is moving back and forward as the mower makes that noise, but I have no clue how to fix that. Any help?

I got a question about my dad's cooling system.
My dad had the breaker go out(cooling system) and ever since then the compressor hasn't kick on. The System is Not like mine(All in one). It has a separate cooling sys. out side. It has a Red\White wires from the stat going the system outside to Yellow\Red to a "contact" clicking box ,
After replacing the breaker, Compressor still didn't work. I twisted the Yellow\Red wires together and some contact thing clicked but no luck from the compressor. I disconnect them and it clicks\releases.
Tho after doing this twenty times or so the compressor kicked on for ten minutes and shut off for good again. When the(contact) clicks it buzzes or hums. Why will the compressor not come on ?

Here are some pics. Click the pics for more information. Thanks,, Joey

I have a standard older bathtub that drains out through a 1-piece metal ring with an x-shaped catch. The catch has a huge clump of hair that is clogging the drain.

Is this metal piece supposed to be lifted out? If not, how am I supposed to get the hair clump without it falling down the drainpipe and stopping in the trap?

I'm not as bad as some people are but there is clutter everywhere. Most of it is from my son's baby and toddler things that are no longer being used. What do I keep and what do I save of my son's baby stuff. I look at some of his clothes or other things and remember when he played or wore that and I wind up not getting rid of anything at all. My house can not take any more things in it. HELP!
