There is something stinking in the house and I don't know what it is.It is creating a bad smell. Please help me detect it and remove the smell.

I am moving into a new house.
Changed toilet, sinks, did all i could, but i really dont want to change the bathtub because its pretty expensive.
What is best way to disinfect the old one?, cause i dont know who lived out there before me.

My Kenmore washer won't drain the water half of the times but when it does drain the water out then it won't spin the water out of the clothes?

I checked the pipes and they are not clogged!!!

It makes those ticking noises which is usually then followed by draining of water or spinning the water out of clothes but nothing happens!!!!!

It shattered a ceramic spoon. I pressed the reset button on the bottom but it didn't work. The disposer won't move but it makes this buzzing noise. What do i do?

I have about 10 or 11 14inch by 14 inch mirrors (salvaged from my boyfriend's childhood bedroom) that are all in decent shape. I would love to make a wall of mirrors somewhere, or just have them all throughout my house. I need ideas of what to do with them besides just hanging them on the wall. (i.e. so far, i have attached one to an old worn 17" x 20" board, for another one, I cut bamboo sticks (like the posts of tiki torches) and framed one of the mirrors with those...) Anyone have any creative ideas of items i might find in my garage or house or nature to add some individual flair to each one of the square mirrors??? Thanks!!

I have a mint plant that attracts aphids and other bugs like crazy. I want to use the mint in my cooking and drinks, so I don't want to use anything on the plant that could be harmful or poisonous. But there's a lot of aphids, and it's gross! When the pant gets REALLY eaten up, I prune it way back, and it grows back fine, until the aphids get to it again. Is there anything I can make or use to get the bugs off? Help!

It fills up with water and goes through the first part of the cycle, then it just stops and won't do anything - what might be the problem? I am obviously going to get it repaired, but I just wanted to know what it might be (a blocked pipe, a broken motor, or....?) Any suggestions will be appreciated - thanks!

I'm having a strange problem in a house I just moved into. It has a brand new water heater and a new two-handle sink faucet in the bathroom. The tub has separate hot and cold handles.

The water coming to either the sink or tub is lukewarm at best. And it takes at least 60 seconds to reach that temperature. And that's with only the hot turned on. I've tried turning off the cold source under the sink and I get the same results.

Interestingly, I've noticed that when the yard sprinklers are on, I get scalding hot water to the bathroom sink and tub. As soon as the sprinklers go off, it's back to lukewarm.

Oh, and the kitchen faucet is fine - it gets very hot.

Any thoughts - I really miss my hot showers.

I am 27 and decided it was time to move out of my mother's. Even though the idea exites me I can not avoid feeling very scared of the unknownI ask myself what would I do if I fail in this experience. Also I seemed to feel guilt because I help out financially and moving out means my family will need to reconsider luxuries or maybe look for smaller place. I don't want to be selfish. ADVICE PLEASE!

I recently installed a water softener and had the plumber up the water pressure to compensate for loss of pressure thru the water softener, it is now at 70 psi (the regulator outside the house was adjusted) - I am paranoid, is this OK for copper piping?? Should I have it turned back to 55 which is where it started at ?

hey i have a central air unit that works off my furnace in a mobile home my air will not kick on the fuse is on the internal fuse is good we had freon put in yesterday and checked out also this happened once before and it was a loose wire which i can not find where do i look my boyfriend fixed it then but hes long gone now

My son is 3, I would feel safer if we had a fence in our front yard for him. I really can't afford a ton of money. I got an estimate from a local company and their estimate was $3,000 yikes. My yard isn't that big! thanks for any info about a fence.
