I use Softscrub. Squirt it all over the tub, then use a scrub brush to get it everywhere. Let it sit for like an hour, then rinse it out with hot water. It has bleach in it, so it will kill germs & it will get rid of any soap scum or other funk they left behind.

This is very easy and I will tell you how to use and what is the best disinfectant, use White Vinegar, use as much as you want you can either pour on a sponge and wipe down the bath, or just pour some on the bottom of the tub and wipe it all around either way it does not make any difference as long as you use Vinegar, Vinegar has been touted as being the best disinfectant in the world, it beats out Bleach. It will also remove hard water spots, lime and make your bathroom smell clean, it removes stains as well, you can leave the Vinegar on for about an hour if you are still dubious as to whether the germs are gone, but my advice to you is all you need to leave it on for is just thirty to fourty minutes the first time, then you can clean and disinfect other times with it when you want for a minute or two by leaving it on before rinsing, remember when you do the disinfecting for one hour or less you need to rinse it with hot water or the hotest your hands can stand. Good Luck !

Hi there. There are many different ways to disinfect an area. You can use commercial products like bleach (Clorox), Pine Sol, and Lysol. Read the labels because other cleaners may or may not disinfect. These do.Bleach can stain any type of cloth or clothing so be careful. Another approach is to use regular white vinegar followed by hydrogen peroxide in either order. These are cheap, as effective and environmentally safe;even safe around food. This method is not toxic to people and animals. Congratulations on your new place.

im not too sure about using this on porceline tubs, but look into phosophoric acid. Its nomrally used to bleach grout and is some of the strongest cleaner available for use without a liscence. If you want it to be confidently clean. this is the stuff. Take note at your local city governments as they may not allow flushing of this stuff down drains.

Use comet. Sprinkle some in and let it sit for a couple minutes. Then scrub or wash depending on how dirty it is. Comet is a common bathroom cleaner, it can be used all over the bathroom but is especially effective in tubs and sinks.

I sure hope you enjoy your new place, if it were mine, I would scrub the bathtub with comet. Not comet liquid, regular comet powder. Next, I would rinse it down really, really good, because what I'm going to tell you to use next, isn't suppose to be mixed with the comet. That would not be a good idea. Anyways, If it were me,I would wipe it all down with a solution of bleach and water. But of course that's only if it were me.(I'm surprised I'm not dead from mixing chemicals).Make sure the window is open.Bye

Use Clorox Cleanup, it will not only clean the tub it will disinfect it. Also use one of those thin green scrubbers (found in the dish washing section) it will help with the cleaning process.
Hope this helps.

It would be wise to use some sort of bleach first, to make sure everything is killed off. After that maybe wash it again with a normal tub/bathroom cleaner.

If it has stains, rust, lime, soap scum, that sort of thing. Might also try limeaway.

I would scrub it first, perhaps rinse with boiling water, then use bleach to disinfect it and then scrub again.
