Chainsaw is too big. But a Pruning Chainsaw is perfect!
Here's one type...

I'd use a large stainless steel hose clamp around the handle. This way you can still change/charge the battery!
If you need more power, they make these in gas powered, but this was cheaper and electric works in all angles. Less noise and there won't be pollution when using indoors.

Use a rotary hammer with a 1/2" bit. Drill down into the bone the length of a 3/8" drop-in anchor. Insert drop-in anchor and set with setting tool.
Drill a hole through the handle of the chain saw, from the back of the handle towards the chain.
Run a 3/8" bolt through the hole in the saw towards the back of the handle long enough so the threads are sticking out facing away from the chain towards the back. Lock the bolt on with a nut.
Now thread the bolt into the anchor in your stump and tighten up.
Voila! Instant chainsaw massacre guy.
Good luck, compadre.

your chain saw may be too big - heavy for your stump...
good baling wire combined with duct tape should do...
you don't want that thing falling off while you're dismembering your victims, think of the mess...missed cuts & all!
good luck!
don't practice in Texas, it will be short lived!

Ask Quentin Tarantino! His new movie has an amputee with a machine gun for a leg! Looks awesome and I bet you can get some helpful hints if you go see it.
