I have bought a table top from the hardware store. My plan is to take beer lables and place them on top of the table. I've seen in resturants where they place newspaper articels or photos and put a coating over it. How do I achieve the thick clear coating they have in bars and resturants???

I have a light blue shirt that faded onto some khaki pants. Would really appreciate some tips on removing the stain if at all possible.

I have a canvas messenger bag and it has got very soft over time, is there anyway to make it more firm and rigid again? as its a really nice bag, but so irritating that it does not hold its shape properly now.

We must choose a new kitchen a.s.a.p. We definitely want a contemporary look - probably either white or cream units and were thinking of a black granite worktop but wondering if that's too much contrast, too much shine overall.. Doea anyone out there have a kitchen like this and does it look OK. The floor will be wood. Any comments may help us choose - thanks.

my pull cord switch doesn't work...upstairs flooding meant water got into the switch and dripped down the cord. is it just a question of letting it dry out, or is there a fuse or something that has blown or do i need to get a sparky in the replace the switch? (or can i do it myself if it is easy?)

I have just moved into a rented house and the main bedroom walls are painted a dark browny almost tan colour. I don't really want to repaint the room as it isn't my house, but was thinking of changing the colour of my bedding and decor. What colours do you think will match with that colour walls. (I cant have white becoz of my two dogs).

Thanks guys

Simple Green for anyone who doesn't know is a car washing soap.... the cap was leaking a little apparently and I leaked 1/3 of a bottle into my car's trunk!! What will happen if I just leave it there? I mean it is soap, and it has a refreshing minty lime scent. How can I clean it all off?

I love Odoban! Need I same more but what is better, a bleach solution used to clean the walls, flooring, bathrooms, kitchens, just about everything that won't stain or Odoban?

I saw my vet cleaning the rooms with Odoban so it got me thinking about which is better.
