There is also a slow leak from the pipes under this sink - before I knew about the leak the water had already made an orange circle on the tile... The smell is kind of like products used when dying hair... The smell is strongest when the water is running. What is causing this, and what should I do to fix it???

We derive underground water in our village for daily uses, which does not receive any kind of treatment. The problem is that the pipes and taps all get ruined very fast because of that.how do i prevent that? Is it a result of hard water or lass salinity. Do i need to get any specific tests?
Will adding washing soda decrease the menace, and if i do add it, what needs to be done to render the water drinkable?
Will any other step be required, the resources are less being in an Indian vilage?

Trying to find out where people find their Real Estate Agents (if they don't know someone). What are the top 5 things you look for in an agent or office? It seems that most people start their home search online now. Is that the best place to start?

I live in the tropics and I spend a lot of time cleaning my house due to the constant dust that collects. Its very dry weather now and the problem is worse as the dust just covers about everything by evening despite the morning cleaning! My phllips vacuum broke down some time ago and I wish to invest in another that will help me clean my drapes, a smooth floor and pet hair. Any advice on purchasing a good vacuum for these purposes willl be really helpful.

I've washed clothes like this in cold water in a machine before, and it usually turns out okay. I just wanted to check, because there's a shirt I'm planning on buying that I'm worried I might ruin if I wash it in a machine - if that's the case, I'd rather not buy it than have to hand wash it. BTW, the top I'm thinking of getting is the Apostrophe Knit Wrap Top from Sears, if that helps any.

I have a chili plant which I grew from a seed, and I'm completely new to gardenging/plant care.

It grew pretty tall (about 18 inches) but has been constantly losing leaves to the degree that it's almost totally bare - just like a green twig with new leaves on the ends of the stems.

What do I have to do to save it? I started it outside, in the shade and water it regularly. I have added new soil and fertilizer (it's in a pot).

I live in Singapore where it's very hot, and I'm on the 17th floor where it's windy and I thought the wind was blowing the leaves off, so I moved it inside and it is still losing leaves. What do I have to do? Put it in the super hot sun? Thanks.

I only brought this jacket for a month and the first time I wash it yesterday...there was a colour bleed. The zipper of the jacket had a brown fabric kinda thing attached to it and that thing made my white jacket have brown patches...What can I do?..is there a way to remove the brown patches from the color bleed?

We are getting a new house and I was wandering what theme I should do my room in. I thought of an ocean theme and a Tropical theme. Do you have any other ideas? Hints on how to do things or things I could do to help my theme would be great also. Thanks in advance!

I need to calculate the size of my home. It's a three bedroom, 2 restrooms, living room, kitchen and dining room house with a garage for two cars. There's no backyard, nothing outside. Can someone help me estimate its size? I mean just give me some idea. I know it's impossible to calculate the exact size but an approximate size would be fine and very appreciated. Also, please let me know what the size of a small bedroom can be. Thanks.

If I'm redo-ing my flower bed and I need to put down a new weed barrier, could I just go to the fabric store and buy some black polyester fabric instead of paying $30-$40 at a home improvement store?

For those who have similar eperience;

I have a house ready to sell, in an acceptable condition. No major repair needed. However, would a little decoration such as painting for a dramatics effect, hanging up some art pieces, or any other minor decorations; adding some spotlights would increase the house value?

I understand that sometimes, you are not just selling a house, but rather an idea of living.

Do share how do you turn a rather dull house in a beautiful place of living with a little tricks.

I make candles and personally like a bunch of scents. What I'd like to know is some weird names of fragrances that smell good. Like "LICK ME ALL OVER" (don't know what it smells like) but when I tell people bout it they want it.

particles ... I would love to clean this out; however, the manufactuer, General Electric, in their infinite corporate wisdom does not seem to have made a way for a non-repairperson to do this ... or not? Does anybody know? There seem to be rivets holding this thing in place. I'm guessing I would need to get a GE repairman to come out but I really don't want to pay for that. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
