I would definately suggest you buy an Oreck,I have had 3 Dyson Cleaners and would not waste my Money ever again on them, they were good when they first went on the Market.
Over time they got worse, the last 2 I bought lasted 5mths, and 2 and a bit months, the Guarantees are worthless.
At least with an Oreck you get a chance to try it out for a Month,if you don't like it you can send it back.

I have a Dyson at the moment although it's very good when I need to replace it I would buy an ORECK very powerful but also very light disadvantage it uses bags. By the you get a small light weight vacuum free for doing curtains and upholstery

in case you purchase a north american dyson that's going to be a hundred and ten, you may get adaptors to plug it right into a 220 device in spite of the indisputable fact that it is going to finally burn out. purchase a dyson geared up for 220. home equipment made for a hundred and ten and run at 220 is like putting jet gasoline on your universal motor vehicle engine, it may artwork for a minute in spite of the indisputable fact that it is going to blow up.

the one the cleaning trade use is a "Henry" they are really tough and will take a lot of abuse, I've had one for over 8yrs and it has never given a days trouble 1000watt motor and easy to carry. Dyson's are always giving problems and do cost a lot of money for their filters.

Electrolux is the only way to go. My sister is still using the one our mother had in the 1960s, and my ex-wife has her grandmother's from the 1940s. Okay, this is anecdotal but it's true.

Invest in a Kirby, they cost a fortune but do everything apart from bake bread, maybe they do that too these days.
