How do you dry palm leaves for display?

I'm going to Florida next week for vacation. Last time I went, I found some palm leaves and took them home, hoping to dry them. They shriveled up and ..... What must I do to dry the leaves for display in the home?

Put the leaves between wax paper, then put books on top of them. Wait several days for them to completely dry and remove them from the wax paper.
