I need to know what the measurements are. I know the free throw line is 15 feet from the front of the rim. What I need to know is how wide is the line from left to right. I want to make to entire paint area from free throw line to basket.

I want to install about 500 sq ft of hardwood flooring in my Living/dinig area, as well as the main hallway. I'm wondering if it would be wise to try and save a few bucks doing it myself. Any experiences installing Hw's and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

(Really dirty water!) Is this the end of the world? What's happening? What can I do that won't involve calling a plumber?

Boric acid is a powder that is used in solution with water for an eye wash; so it is quite safe. Is this the powder used to prevent crawling insects from entering a building?

Much of my yard has moss growing in patches throughout the yard. Over the winter the patches seem to get larger. There is a problem with shade and we get a lot of moisture in my area of SW PA, however, the moss really started to get a hold when we had a drought one summer? I've used Iron as a direct application, it works but the moss comes up someplace else. I limed last spring and this seemed to have no impact.

We just got a brand new house which we love. We haven't moved in yet but we went over there to get some ideas on where we want to put all of our furniture. When I was in the house, I saw 3 wasps inside. There are many wasp nests outside the back door and front door. I don't know if they came in when we went in the front door or if they somehow came in through the vents. Is it possible for them to come in through the A/C vents? Also, we went out into the backyard, when we did, we saw a LONG black snake that stood straight up and then ran away. My hubby said it was just a harmless snake, but we have a 1 year old and a 5 year old and the thought of a snake in the backyard horrifies me. These things wouldn't typically bother me, but we have kids!

Is there any thing a pest control man can do to keep wasps from making nests outside of our house? Also, is there anything we can do to keep the snakes OUT of our yard?

I was excited to move in, but now I'm totally creeped out. :(

I am moving from my home and I desperately want to take my rose bushes with me. When would be the best time to do this?
I live in Northern New Jersey and will be moving to a comparable location temperature-wise. I am thinking I might want to dig them out soon before spring starts. Even if I have to keep them in pots temporarily. I've got to be out by June.

Okay, I have a certificate in decorating through an at-home course. It was fun and fast. I passed with flying colors. Now what do I do? Do I try and start a business or do I find redesigners who are willing to go that extra mile and help me learn on site? Do I go back to school and get a design degree? What comes next?

Hello! We just moved into our first home, 3 bed, 2 & ½ bath. The master bath has 3-piece shower unit (I believe 32x32) with an older door. Toilet and vanity are in good shape, so we’re really only looking at the shower and maybe the floor, which is pretty small. My question is this…would we be better off replacing the shower unit with another unit or removing the unit and then tile the walls/floor? I know that we can get some pretty nice, yet inexpensive tile from our local big box home stores. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TZ

I'm moving into a new apartment, and I'm currently looking at paint choices. The livingroom, diningroom and the kitchen is all open towards eachother. I wanted to paint the livingroom a warm yellow (Behr paint colours Banana Cream (350C-2) with a highlight of Applesauce (350C-3)) on the fireplace wall. We have a green with cream and burgundy couch, chair and ottoman.

Since the livingroom is open to the kitchen, I was wondering for ideas about what colour to paint the kitchen area. I would like a colour that isn't yellow, but doesn't clash with the rest of the living area.

I have a 1991 Gibson Acoustic guitar that was in cherry condition when I got it, but i did something stupid... I played it with just a tank top on (or no shirt at all) and my anti persperant (Arid XX) got smudged on the finish. I tried wiping it off with a dry rag, but it seems to me like it is on there permanantly, and it really bothers me... Is there any product that will clean the smudges, shine the wood, and not damage my finish? Thanks in advance for you non sarcastic help.
