Boric acid is a powder that is used in solution with water for an eye wash; so it is quite safe. Is this the powder used to prevent crawling insects from entering a building?

Boric acid is great for keeping ants out of the building. there's a couple of ways to do it too. Just need to figure out the type of ants you have.

bait the perimeter of the building with ant bait to kill the whole colony boric acid will work but does not wipe out the colony
