Problem is that my home is soo tiny even a small dinette set would take up to much space. So my idea is to find a long skinny table to use so it can flank the wall then have 3 little stools fit neatly under it. Prblm is I can't find a table like this. The closest thing I've found is a long sofa table but it was too shrt only 26". What kinda table am I looking for? Do I just have to get one made? Where?
I can't just put in a counter ledge b/c my BF won't let me poke holes in the wall. Any suggestions?

I don't see house plants featured in decorator magazines often these days.
Ten-fifteen years ago, they were in. What happened?

I've heard that one can use copper rods as an effective deterrent for slugs and snails. This sounds like a good non pesticide option.Has anyone heard of/used these successfully and are they freely available?

I had problems with my boiler (Myson Apollo 5Si) in that it was not working at all. I have had a new circuit board fitted but now the timer switches for the heating and hot water are not working. So I can have plenty of heat and hot water, just not timed. To switch it off I am having to switch off the main switch by the boiler itself. My engineer is coming back tomorrow. I just wanted to check whether it is the circuit board which controls the timer switches (to determine whether they should treat this as the same job). This problem had never occurred before the new circuit board was fitted. Any advice greatly received.

I have a top loading washing machine, is it necessary to use only top loading detergent or I can also use the front loading one. If so, why make two type of detergent soap when you can use one type for both? If not, what is the disadvantage of using front loading detergent on top loading machine and vice-versa?

I have a driveway that has very sound strong concrete that is 100ml thick. Yet it is ugly. I do not want to rip it up as it seems such a waste. I was thinking of putting pavers over the existing driveway. Is this O.K? Is drainage a problem.

I recently bought some cheap laundry detergent that actually made my clothes smell bad. However, the name brands like Tide seem too expensive for what it is. Any recommendations for a cheaper laundry detergent?

okay i need to get my clothes washed for work. not alot of clothes but ive got the whole small load water level thing down. ( i am like laundry challenged) so any simple instructions are great. i have.. liquid tide... liquid downey.. and clorox for colors. i have light jeans, dark jeans, grey shirts and a brown dark water shirt. id rather not go back and forth with these but to stick them in the washer and be done. what im saying is i dont really know what to do from here. they are my favorite jeans and stuff and i dont want them to be ruined. i can work a dryer but any washer tips are MUCH thanked.
