Is it best to carpet all bedrooms (and the hallway) in the same colour?
Under what circumstances could you use different colours?

Your better to use the same so the rooms wont seem smaller in size, to use different colors breaks up a room. With one color the eye flows over instead of looking in seperate directions. It really is up to your own taste, but since carpet is not changed often you would most likely be happier for aa longer period of time to go one even color on your floor and put colors in your window treatments and walls.

Hmmmm, interesting. I would say that carpeting the hallway and bedrooms the same color would seem appropriate but the standard way of doing things. However, say you had an office or other similar room off the hallway, and you wanted a more durable, less squishy kind of carpet, you could put down something that is different in texture and pattern, but maintains the same tones of color. This way, the change in pattern and color (at the closed door line) appears more in tone and harmony with the rest of the carpet.

Enjoy.

The carpet people would probably give you a better deal if you bought all of one kind of carpet. I don't think it matters much if you want different colors in the bedrooms and hallway. I would just make sure that they didn't clash.

No carpet in the bedroom. Do wood instead. Carpet can cause respiratory problems.

We have to pick carpeting that is compatible with muddy kids and pets. Yes, hallway and rooms same color if possible.
