black stains of what is believed to be wet asphalt were made on my carpet, already tried going gone, tried scruubing with amonia.

Try rubbing it with kerosene but be sure it is not near a flame. I use kerosene in removing asphalt stains in my car and it works.

Change the carpet. Asphalt is about as bad as lanolin based house paint.

Try odorless mineral spirits, found in the paint section of your hardware store.
Works like gasoline but will not leave the smell.
You will still have to clean with soap when you're done.

something with an oil base will do it.....WD40, baby oil, Goo Gone
